There’s no way you can escape the piano when you study music. Having to understand harmony and composition, accompanying students, practising for your harpsichord exam… I had a pretty rough start to piano playing and never really liked it, but had to learn how to do it anyway. Ever since I learnt more about intelligent practice in music physiology studies and learnt more about learning the Feldenkrais way, I have managed to make peace with the instrument and even play okay and practise efficiently. I can help beginners with this instrument and will pass you on as soon as you get too good for me. My music physiological exercises are very popular with my students.
To play a wrong note is insignificant; to play without passion is inexcusable.
Ludwig van Beethoven
